Hebridean Tide - 4 ply / fingering weight cashmere alpaca silk

Hebridean Tide is a beautifully soft, luxurious hand-dyed 4 ply / fingering weight yarn made from a sumptuous blend of baby alpaca, cashmere and silk. Non-superwash and wonderfully gentle against the skin, this is a true “next-to-skin” yarn, perfect for creating cosy yet elegant handmade pieces.

Hand-dyed in small batches using professional acid dyes, each skein has its own unique character and subtle variations of colour. Hebridean Tide is a versatile all-purpose 4 ply yarn, suitable for knitting, crochet and weaving, and is ideal for garments, shawls, accessories and other projects where softness and luxury are important.

If you require more than one skein for your project, we recommend alternating skeins as you work. This helps to blend any natural variations between hand-dyed skeins and minimise colour pooling or noticeable changes.

All our hand-dyed yarns are carefully washed and thoroughly rinsed after dyeing. However, as with all hand-dyed yarn, a small amount of colour may bleed during the first wash.

Care: Hand wash gently in cool water using a wool wash. Do not agitate or wring. Reshape and dry flat. As Hebridean Tideis a non-superwash yarn, we strongly recommend hand washing to preserve its softness, shape and beautiful fibres.
